XRP exchange reserves hit a 7-year low, about 1.7 billion coins!

Here’s another on-chain data point worth paying attention to regarding XRP:
Exchange reserves fall to about 1.7 billion XRP
Reaches the lowest level in nearly 7 years
Compared with the October 2025 peak of about 3.76 billion XRP, it has already dropped by more than half.
What does this mean?

Simply put, the amount of XRP kept on exchanges—available to participate in market trading at any time—is decreasing.

Meanwhile, recent U.S. spot XRP ETFs have continued to attract capital, further driving some XRP from exchanges to other custody channels. According to CoinDesk, U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded a total net inflow of about $273 million in the second quarter of this year.

But here’s the very key point:
A decline in exchange reserves ≠ XRP must definitely rise.
A decrease in supply only indicates that the market has fewer “immediately sellable” tokens available.

What truly determines price is still:
Decreasing supply + new capital continuously entering = potential for amplified price elasticity
If demand continues to increase in the future, a lower exchange inventory could make the market more sensitive to incoming buy orders.

The real takeaway from the 7-year low isn’t that “there’s no XRP left,” but that XRP that can be sold quickly is becoming less available.

Next, what’s worth watching is:
Whether ETF capital continues to flow in + whether exchange reserves keep declining.
If both of these data points continue at the same time, that’s a market signal worth paying closer attention to.
