The same attacker targeted Fetch.ai and NuNet in succession—such security incidents affecting small-cap tokens often hit fast and directly.
According to PeckShield monitoring, the cumulative losses totaled about $2.0 million. Of this, Fetch.ai had 8.7 million FET tokens stolen, while NuNet was issued an additional 408.5 million NTX tokens; together, this amounts to approximately $2.0 million. The attacker has converted the stolen funds into about 546.36 ETH, worth roughly $1.44 million.
From a market perspective, NTX has fallen by around 65%, with sentiment pressure even more evident. FET has a larger circulating volume, so the short-term impact is relatively more manageable; however, funds typically look first at the project team’s subsequent actions. Are you more concerned about where the stolen assets are going, or whether the project team will patch the vulnerability as quickly as possible?
