ME News message, September 20 (UTC+8). Crypto analyst Darkfost said in a post that the Bitcoin reserves held by OTC (over-the-counter) trading platform addresses have fallen to a historical low. Currently, they are about 123,000 BTC, compared with nearly 500,000 BTC in September 2021. The ongoing decline in OTC reserves may be due to multiple factors, including investors being more inclined to hold BTC long term, the structure of Bitcoin holdings becoming more dispersed, and participants such as miners no longer primarily selling BTC through OTC channels. In addition, some holders may be more willing to sell directly on the public market. Regardless of the specific reasons, a sharp reduction in OTC reserves means there is less BTC available for sale outside the public market. If buyer demand shifts more toward the public market for direct purchases, it could provide support for the BTC price. (Source: ME)
