Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said on the 20th that intelligence indicated the United States had decided to take further hostile action against Iran after a joint meeting in a European country and with the tacit approval of some Middle Eastern countries. According to Odaily, the statement warned that any U.S. mistake against Iran would bring sustained attacks on all of its bases and interests in the region. It also said regional countries that continue what it described as a double-faced policy and cooperate with enemies would be treated as accomplices, and Iran’s armed forces would no longer be expected to show restraint.
