Today, I myself took part and ended up doing a small task of cleaning the surroundings and picking up litter. I want to share in detail the reasons why I did it and how it affects our daily lives, our community, and the world as a whole.
🌱 1. To make the future more beautiful and thriving
Picking up trash isn’t just about cleaning. It’s about preparing to pass on to future generations a cleaner, more beautiful, and easier-to-breathe planet. Our small real-life actions can help revitalize the environment and even help restore nature itself. If we want to have a greener and more thriving environment in the future, we need to start taking real action from today, right now.
🧹 2. Removing all that is bad and all that is filthy
Just like clearing away physical trash, it also reflects the idea of removing, at its root, everything that pollutes the mind and the environment—every toxic thing, every bad thing, and every impurity. By keeping your own environment clean and maintained, you also cleanse your heart and mind and invite positive energy. On one side, picking up trash is also a task that purifies your own mind.
🌬️ 3. Reducing air pollution and natural disasters
When there is clutter and scattered waste in the environment, and when waste is piled up, it not only causes air pollution but also harms health. Only when the environment is green and clean can air pollution be reduced and we can have a healthier environment. Starting with cleaning from within the community helps combat global warming and is also very helpful for preventing diseases.
💡 4. Change that begins with you (Self-Initiative)
“Change starts with me.” Without waiting for anyone, you should begin picking up trash from the places you are able to, from your own surroundings—doing things like properly disposing of waste. When individual awareness and actions come together, it will become a large social change.
🌱 5. Preventing global warming by stopping the increase of trash
Right now, the waste discarded by human society—especially plastics and materials that do not decompose—has been piling up all over the world like a mountain. The greenhouse gases released as this waste rots and decomposes (for example, methane and carbon dioxide) accumulate in the atmosphere and make the Earth warmer. As temperatures rise, natural disasters occur more frequently, becoming a threat to the long-term survival of humanity. Therefore, collecting trash and controlling waste disposal is the first step toward reducing the Earth’s temperature.
🧊 6. Preventing the melting of glaciers and ice sheets
One of the worst effects of global warming is that ice sheets in the polar regions are melting rapidly. As ice sheets melt, sea levels rise, putting coastal areas at risk of flooding and bringing severe climate-related damage. We can control the rise in the Earth’s temperature and save the ice sheets only by reducing the waste we throw away and creating a cleaner environment.
🐠 7. Saving aquatic creatures and protecting the natural ecosystem
Waste thrown onto land, plastic bags, and bottles end up in the oceans and rivers through rainwater runoff. Once there, fish, turtles, sea birds, and other marine creatures mistake the trash for food and can end up injured, even dying. Damage to marine life can collapse an entire marine ecosystem and also affects the ocean’s natural balance. Cleaning up means giving marine creatures the chance to survive again.
🦠 8. Building a cleaner environment so that new diseases do not arise again
Places where trash piles up and wastewater becomes blocked turn into major breeding grounds for bacteria, viruses, and disease-causing germs. As the environment becomes more polluted, the risk of respiratory illnesses, skin diseases, and new infectious diseases for human beings increases greatly. To prevent new pandemics from occurring again around the world, it is necessary to keep our community environments clean and well maintained at all times. A clean environment is what can create a healthy human society.
🌐 In the world of Crypto and Web3, we also need to keep it clean and pure
Just like how we share topics about Crypto, Web3, and TradFi in community spaces such as Binance Square, keeping the real, physical environment clean and pure is extremely important. The concept of sustainability matters not only in financial markets, but also for our planet where we live—because it is equally vital for us to survive.
So I encourage everyone to start from wherever you can, and let’s build together a clean, healthy, and better environment.
