🚨 Bitcoin’s 63% HODL figure looks bullish — but there’s more to the story.

Bitcoin supply that hasn’t moved for at least one year reached 63.3% on Sept. 18, up from 62.32% a month earlier.

At first glance, that may look like strong long-term accumulation. But HODL-wave data tracks how long coins have remained unmoved — not necessarily whether new investors are buying.

One important detail: the 6–12 month supply fell from 19.10% to 17.53%, while the 1–2 year band increased from 13.52% to 14.57%.

That can happen simply because coins cross the one-year age threshold while remaining untouched.

For traders, this means the 63.3% figure needs more context. Exchange flows and entity-adjusted data may help determine whether this reflects genuine accumulation or simply aging supply.

🤔 Do you see this as a stronger HODLing signal, or mainly an age-band shift?
