$ETH also touched $2,600 again—this is the second time this month. But the confidence behind the move might be more worth watching than the price itself. On-chain data is right here: the number of non-empty Ethereum wallets has hit a historical all-time high, breaking 207 million; the amount of ETH in staking has exceeded 40 million; and Ethereum still ranks first in DeFi with about $50 billion in total value locked. Even more importantly, the average transaction fee has fallen below $0.1—down more than 80% from the April peak of $0.72. With fees this cheap, small-scale interactions truly become viable. The threshold an analyst, Ted Pillows, gave is a weekly close above $2,550—then there could be an opportunity to move toward $2,900 to $3,000. Personally, I think the synchronized new highs in wallet count and staking volume are a stronger signal than any one-off breakout.
