I just took a look at the order book—my stop-loss got triggered and swept out. Luckily it was only a small position that I tried.
This round with $CELR directly surged 113%. Judging from the price, it was actually less than 0.005U. The percentage gain was definitely wild. The volume was 18.9M, not especially huge, but combined with this kind of pump, it gives the vibe of a market-maker self-trading/self-praising.
ONE is even more extreme: volume was 82.2M, up 70%. With that size of capital entering, either there’s news, or big players are pumping it to distribute.
My take is that it’s a trap. $BTC is still grinding around the 80,000 level; the funding rate is normal, and long/short positioning isn’t out of balance. In that case, any random spike in alts has nothing to do with rotation from the spot sector. Either the project team is doing a pull, or it’s a derivatives long-vs-short game that got hunted.
As for PYR and NFP falling 60%, that’s a separate matter. Their volume was only a few tenths of an M—there’s basically no liquidity—so it falling however it fell is completely normal.
In this kind of market, I won’t chase. If you’re itching to trade, you can try with a small position and set the stop-loss below the breakout start point. Have the bears gone collectively silent today?
