“Crypto | Momentum Interpretation | September 20”

On the 7-day momentum leaderboard, the #1 coin is up by 5.6x—but I didn’t even have the desire to click into it.

This morning I scanned the 7-day momentum charts for 240 coins. The top performers made me laugh:
First place +561% Second place +108% Third place +89%

Old-rug-pullers’ conditioned reflex—those “up 5x in 7 days” tickets are already near the summit when I notice them. Chasing in means you’re just taking the last step of the relay.

Top of the 24h leaderboard: some new coin is up 106% but didn’t make the 7-day list, which suggests it’s in the early acceleration phase. But acceleration phases are the most dangerous: if it’s up 100% today, it could be cut in half tomorrow.

Also, check the volume ratio anomalies: some coin at 38x, another at 20x—looks like the main players are moving in? I’ve been burned by this before. Often it’s a “volume-masking” fakeout designed to lure you in—recognize the risk, but don’t use it to open a position.

Market snapshot: BTC 80,900 sideways; BNB 760 sideways. $SOL fell by 3.5% on its own. If the majors have no direction, I won’t force it.

Strategy: stay in cash and observe. The crazier the “shitcoins” get, the more I hold my hand back—waiting for BTC to pick a direction before I act.

So are you guys just staying in cash and watching lately, or have you already rushed in? Drop your take in the comments.
