Bybit CEO: Bitcoin is not yet fully matured as “digital gold”
On April 15, 2026, Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit, said in an interview posted by Cointelegraph’s Paris Blockchain Hub that Bitcoin still has some way to go before it becomes a mature “digital gold.” He believes that the recent price volatility of Bitcoin remains too high for traditional financial institutions and is not yet sufficient to serve as a stable store of value. At the same time, he said that stablecoins are better suited for everyday payments, but this does not change Bitcoin’s long-term positioning as digital gold.
