What kind of new “fake recruiting” scam is this—stealing coins?
I saw a report from ChainCatcher (Forbes): the FBI, Japan’s National Police Agency, and other agencies in multiple countries issued a joint warning—North Korea-linked hacker group WaterPlum (also known as Contagious Interview) disguises itself as AI, crypto, or NFT companies, posting fake job listings to lure job seekers on social media and recruitment platforms. The moment you start a technical interview or a programming test and they ask you to download something, they’ll have you download malicious files.
From December 2025 to July 2026, it has infected over 30,000 devices, covering more than 100 countries and regions, and dragged data from over 7,000 crypto wallets; the attackers have controlled wallets with a cumulative total of at least about $10.71 million. For Web3 job hunting, don’t rush to click that link that says “complete the test.” #加密安全 #social engineering
