Leverage, something I’ve carried for so long in trading, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is: what gets magnified is never your win rate—it’s your volatility and your emotions. If you’re right on direction, the difference between earning with 5x versus 20x can be huge; but when you’re wrong, 20x can even leave you with no chance to recover. 😮💨

My rules are simple: lock the maximum loss per trade at 2% of total capital. Once you hit it, you cut—no excuses. Set the leverage multiple based on the stop-loss distance: if the stop-loss is far, lower leverage rather than stubbornly holding on. If you make two losing trades in a day, stop trading for the day—don’t chase or add to positions. Put these three rules on your screen; they’re more useful than any indicator.

A lot of people don’t lose because of their judgment—they lose because of their position sizing. The market hasn’t changed, but people panic. One shaky decision leads to adding, and once you add, you get wiped out. Controlling leverage is really about controlling yourself. 🙂

If you agree, hit like. My profile is running live trading guidance based on these exact disciplines.
