📈 Crypto Rises Not Only Because of the Product — But Because of the Story
This is one of the things I realized after many market cycles.
$BTC is not just a blockchain.
Bitcoin’s story is a kind of money that no government can simply print at will. Born after the 2008 financial crisis, Bitcoin became the first name to represent this narrative.
$FET was once valued by the market using the AI + crypto story. When AI became a global topic, capital immediately flowed to assets tied to that narrative.
$FLOKI has a very different story: memes, Elon Musk, and community culture.
$PNUT even shows how a narrative can come from a very unexpected event — a squirrel becomes the center of attention on social media, and then the token carrying that story quickly attracts speculative flows.
From that, I derived a fairly simple framework:
Strong narratives usually emerge from 2 places:
→ Being the first in a new trend.
→ Or being tied to a story that the whole world starts to care about.
So instead of only asking:
“What products does this coin have?”
I often ask too:
“In the next 6–12 months, what will the world be talking about?”
AI?
RWA?
Privacy?
DePIN?
Robotics?
Stablecoin?
Or an entirely new narrative that most of today’s market hasn’t seen yet?
In the previous cycle, I managed to catch some narratives pretty early.
In this cycle, I still want to look for things that are not yet fully priced, instead of chasing stories that too many people already know.
Because when everyone is talking about the same narrative, the easiest-to-make money part may already be over.
The question I’m asking myself right now:
👉 What will force the whole world to talk about crypto next?
