Satoshi Nakamoto is dead… or simply no longer has access to 1.1 million BTC? 👀
Here’s a theory I find incredibly thought-provoking.
If the figure of around 1.1 million BTC associated with Satoshi still has the potential to be sold, then in theory this is a very big risk for Bitcoin. An enormous supply entering the market could create extremely strong selling pressure.
But in reality, institutions, investment funds, and people holding large amounts of assets are still continuing to access BTC.
So what are they betting on?
Personally, I lean toward the theory that Satoshi has died or has completely lost access to those BTC.
If that’s the case, then 1.1 million BTC almost becomes permanently “locked” supply.
What about the theory that Satoshi is connected to the CIA or a high-level intelligence agency?
I see this as just a hypothesis with no verified evidence. But it’s precisely mysteries like these that make the Bitcoin story so special.
The most interesting part is:
The creator of Bitcoin may have disappeared, but what they created is still continuing to operate without them.
And if Satoshi truly can’t sell that BTC anymore, then one of Bitcoin’s biggest “supply risks” may have disappeared long ago.
