Bitcoin has just pushed Tesla behind again.
In the Sept. 19 market cap snapshot, BTC is about $1.63 trillion, ranking 13th globally; Tesla is about $1.438 trillion, ranking 14th. The gap is roughly $1.97 billion.
This isn’t about whose business is better. BTC’s market cap equals price times circulating supply, while Tesla’s equals share price times circulating shares. One has no factories or financial reports, the other has cars, robots, revenue, and debt—put together, you can only look at the scale.
But that scale is already quite straightforward: BTC is now big enough to squeeze onto the same leaderboard as the world’s most well-known companies.
With the same term “market cap,” would you compare BTC with companies by putting them side by side?
This is a stock perpetual futures contract, not directly holding Tesla shares.
