SpaceX is about to enter the Nasdaq 100 index’s quarterly rebalancing again; before the market opens on September 21, the stock’s weight is expected to rise from 1.3% to nearly 2.8%, bringing in passive inflows of $20–25 billion.

Previously, due to the share lock-up period, the float was small, so the weight couldn’t rise. Now a large number of shares are being released, increasing the float ratio. Index funds will passively allocate accordingly, and buy orders are approaching nearly two days’ worth of trading volume, which provides near-term support.
