$SOL Up about 10%: Can buyers hold the gains?
Solana’s latest leg of the rally has come alongside a sharp acceleration in trading activity.
According to CoinGecko data on September 19, SOL was at $113.61, up 10.7% over the past 24 hours. Trading volume reached about $6.66 billion, up 106.9% from the previous day. The trading range that day was between $102.70 and $114.14, bringing SOL close to its intraday high.

My take: The next useful signal is how SOL moves when the initial buying momentum slows down. Keeping it near the upper end of this range during periods of thinner trading would reinforce the view that buyers are willing to accept higher prices.
Increased volume indicates greater market participation. It can’t tell how much new money is flowing into SOL, who is buying, or whether these buyers intend to hold long term.
I’ll also watch the balance between spot demand and leveraged positions. A rise supported by sustained spot buying will provide a firmer foundation; but rapidly expanding leverage could make the subsequent move more volatile.
A sharp pullback in this trend would weaken the assumption of short-term momentum. The decisive evidence will depend on whether price holds these levels over the next few trading days and whether market participation can remain sustained.
Here, what would give you more confidence: consolidation near the highs, or another strong trading day?
