The shorts were forced to close their positions, and the short squeeze is still ongoing. The shorts haven’t fully died off—above is still the fuel.
Momentum on the short term is still there. It just broke the historical high overnight, and the price action itself is already attracting trend-following capital. The shorts lack suppression chips. Institutions are still buying, and the heat is still on.
As long as the shorts haven’t admitted defeat, the dog-and-pony show won’t easily let them get out.
