Honeywell wins a naval contract worth $53.9 million to supply navigation components
Honeywell Aerospace Technologies has received a $53.90 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to supply components for naval navigation systems. Based in Minneapolis, the company will provide up to 1,125 units over five years for the ring laser gyroscopes used in the WSN-7 inertial navigation system.
The system supports various submarines and surface ships of the U.S. Navy. All manufacturing work will be carried out at Honeywell’s facility in Minneapolis.
The fixed-price contract extends through September 2031, with no additional option periods.
