Cronos GitHub repository maintainer lezzokafka has published a governance proposal. It intends to use all revenue from Ult and Cronos Launch under Cronos Labs to repurchase CRO on the open market, and to burn it on-chain monthly, publishing the hash value of each burn transaction. Operating, infrastructure, and growth-related expenses will be covered by existing capital. Meanwhile, the proposal also seeks to use strategic reserves to support future staking rewards for Cronos POS; as the token issuance decreases, it will top up rewards to maintain the current staking parameters unchanged. The proposal has entered the voting stage as on-chain governance proposal No. 37. Voting will end at 10:02 a.m. Beijing time on October 3. The buyback-and-burn contract is still under development.
