🚨 WARREN BUFFETT STEPS DOWN AS CHAIRMAN OF BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY AT AGE 96

Warren Buffett has officially stepped down as Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, effective immediately, and becomes Honorary Chairman. He will continue to hold a seat on the board of directors. His son, Howard Buffett, will take over as the new Chairman.

This is the next step in Berkshire’s succession plan. Greg Abel will remain CEO after taking over this role from Buffett earlier this year.

Notably, Berkshire has a large investment in Alphabet (Google), and Berkshire shares are up about 1% this year—lower than the more than 11% gain of the S&P 500.

👉 Buffett’s departure from the Chair marks a major milestone in Berkshire’s transition, while the capital allocation strategy under the new leadership will continue to be monitored by the market.
