September 19, $BTC : Weekend Outlook
Short Squeeze and ETF Inflows: Over the past 24 hours, approximately $183–192 million worth of short positions were liquidated, creating a “short-squeeze”行情. Meanwhile, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of about $159 million on September 17, providing additional buy-side support.
· Macros and Regulatory Tug-of-War: The Federal Reserve announced a 25 bp rate hike (bringing the rate to 4.00%), and the CLARITY Act was stalled in the Senate. However, Grayscale believes the rate hikes are a “mid-term adjustment,” and the U.S. SEC’s approval of exemptions for tokenized stock trading somewhat offsets the bearish impact.
· Key Macro Variables: The 30-year U.S. Treasury yield is currently the most important macro indicator to watch. If yields continue to rise, they could become a key force suppressing risk assets. With BTC showing strength under a technical-and-funding “resonance” dynamic, short liquidations are the main driver in the short term. But the overhead liquidation zone at $83,000–$86,000 is the critical resistance band that will determine whether the rally can continue. If the price can break out effectively and hold above that level, it could open up greater upside potential; otherwise, it may face pullback pressure.
