USDT... What is it and why does everyone use it?
USDT (Tether) is a stable digital currency (Stablecoin). This means its value is always pegged to the US dollar at about a 1:1 ratio. So 1 USDT = about 1 US dollar, which is what makes it different from other coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum, whose prices fluctuate a lot.
Why do people use it?
🔹 Protection against volatility: If you’re worried about the market dropping, you can convert your profits or capital to USDT and keep its value
🔹 Speed in trading: You can enter and exit trades quickly without having to convert to fiat currencies every time
🔹 A way to transfer funds: It’s used to move money between different platforms easily and without high banking fees
🔹 Accepted worldwide: Almost all trading platforms and crypto services support it
Important advice:
Even though it’s “stable,” you still need to know it isn’t completely risk-free—its value is tied to people’s trust in the issuing company (Tether) and its financial reserves.
