Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang said technology companies should keep pushing ahead with artificial intelligence research, even as some industry leaders have warned that development may need to slow. According to Sina Finance, Huang said companies should accelerate as much as possible and should not release products before they are ready or introduce unsafe products.

Huang said Nvidia would move at full speed, but it would not and should not release products before they are mature. He added that no one expects the company to do that, and that everyone expects it to succeed and help the United States achieve greater prosperity.

The comments come as concerns about the pace of AI development have intensified in recent weeks, with some people calling for guardrails and government regulation. The debate was partly sparked by Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon, who resigned earlier this month and said AI companies were rushing innovation at the expense of complete safety standards.

Coxon said AI could pose a threat to humanity if left unchecked. U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration has so far generally not agreed with those concerns.

Days later, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei appeared to share some of Coxon’s concerns. He said the industry had long misled the public about the risks of the technology and described its development as exponential, while adding that there was no need to panic or shut down all related research. Amodei said the situation was a warning sign and that the pace needed to slow.
