I guess a lot of people who read CZ Big Brother @cz_binance’s “Binance Life” start from the PDF—including me.
A PDF is like a ticket that gives more people a chance to get into it; but a physical book is different—holding it in your hands, placing it on your bookshelf—it feels like a different kind of experience, more like an archived proof of something you went through.
Later, when I went to Hong Kong, the first thing I did was to go to a bookstore and look for the physical copy of “Binance Life.”
Every time I go to Hong Kong, there are always friends asking me to help bring one. Even though many people have already read the e-version, they still want to buy a physical copy because the meaning is different. Also, in Mainland China it’s really not easy to find—if you can come across it, don’t miss the chance.
I’ve bought some physical books myself before. I even used sweepstakes to give copies to friends who genuinely wanted to read them. Every time I walk into a bookstore or library and see it displayed on the best-seller list or in the most prominent spot, I always find it fascinating.
Turns out there are so many people seriously reading and collecting. If you have friends who are going to Hong Kong or Taiwan, and it’s convenient, you really can bring one back. I think calling it one of the must-reads for the crypto community isn’t an exaggeration.
I’m also very lucky—I managed to get the double signatures from Big Brother and Sister Yi, and I’ve placed it next to my computer desk.
Every now and then I’ll take a look, and it reminds me of things: long-term thinking, cycles, keeping your original intention, and those hard but worth sticking with moments.
I also flip through this book from time to time. It’s not the kind of book you read once and then put down—I read it again after a period of time, and I always have new feelings.
