Bitcoin News | Bitcoin falls 1.5% in its worst month as two negative headlines fail to move it
Bitcoin has already surpassed more than half of its historically weakest month, and the usual September drop has remained contained despite a barrage of headwinds from policy and macroeconomics.
After rising 25% in August to around $81,000, expectations were that it would give up much of those gains. September has produced an average loss of about 3% since 2013.
Instead, Bitcoin is down 1.5% this month. With fewer than two weeks remaining, it’s up about 32% for the quarter, on track for its first positive quarterly close since Q3 2025.
It trades at $78,000, roughly back where it was before the Fed rate hike on Wednesday.
