The king of DEX has finally "made" money—surged 33% today

UNI up 32.64% in 24 hours. Price $9.10. Trading volume $969 million USDT. Among the top ten gainers, it's number one across the board.

In the past 30 days, Uniswap’s trading volume reached $71 billion—more than the combined total of the three DEXs ranked lower than it. After the fee switch went live, protocol revenue began directly buying back and burning UNI. In one week, 592,000 UNI were burned. Cumulatively, more than 111 million have been destroyed. And in June, it even set a record for single-day burning of 186,000.

UNI is now completing the critical leap from a "governance token" to a "real cash flow asset." In the past, people joked that UNI had no value capture. Now, the protocol’s daily income is about $325,000, which is used to buy coins and burn them directly. The bigger the trading volume, the more gets burned—this is a self-reinforcing flywheel. On the charts, UNI has moved above the 200-week moving average at $7.78. It’s more than doubled from the June low, and Arthur Hayes also bought 284,000 UNI. The money made in the DEX race is, for the first time, truly flowing into holders’ pockets.
