The U.S. stock market is about to open, and the vibe for leverage has just changed.

In the past 24 hours, total liquidations across the whole network were $317 million, with $260 million coming from shorts, accounting for 82%—this was a day when shorts kept getting beaten all the way through. Looking at longer 12-hour and 4-hour windows, shorts also had it worse, with shares of 88% and 79%, respectively.

But in the last hour, the wind direction reversed: out of the $29.3 million liquidations across the whole network, 60% became long positions that were wiped out. UNI alone saw a $340,000 long liquidation—over four times the short liquidation.

BTC is currently $77,975, up 1.37% over the past 24 hours; ETH is $2,503, up 1.46%—the rally hasn’t stopped. But the long liquidations in the final hour show that people chasing higher prices are starting to get cut.
