Conclusion first: one hour before the U.S. stock market opens, the liquidation trend across the whole market suddenly reversed direction.
In the past 4 hours, liquidations across the market totaled $82.09 million, with 84% in short positions—people who chased and tested the downside in these hours got buried with the biggest share. But in the last 1 hour, the trend flipped sharply: among $8.03 million liquidated, 88% became longs, suggesting that the traders who just chased high and entered actually got cut first.
Bitcoin’s current price is around 78,010. In the past 24 hours, it’s up 2.4%, with Binance and OKX showing the same percentage increase. Ethereum is up 3.2%, and has broken above $2,500. The 24-hour high is 78,450 and the low is around 75,980.
The Fear & Greed Index is 56 today, up one step from yesterday’s 50. Sentiment is relatively optimistic, but short-term leverage is already getting hit from both sides.
