FIL dropped nearly 100% and still rose 9% in a single day— is this kind of rally an oversold rebound, or are people quietly building positions?】

To be honest, I’ve been watching this FIL move for two days.

In 24 hours: 9.3%; over a week: 12.1%; and in a month: nearly 40%. Buy-side inflows have been continuous, and the price has already approached the resistance level around 0.895. With the data right in front of us, it doesn’t look like retail-driven activity.

But there’s a question in my mind that matters more to me than these numbers: can Filecoin’s story actually carry this surge?

Back in 2017, I got cut badly because I believed the story without really checking what the project was doing. I do agree with Filecoin’s logic—distributed storage is indeed a direction; big data and AI training data need low-cost cold storage, and that’s a real demand.

But here’s the issue: what is Filecoin’s actual storage utilization rate? I haven’t seen exact data. If this spike is simply due to “it fell too much,” then it may come fast and go just as fast. But if large capital is betting on the future of this sector, then the logic is completely different.

I’m inclined to think this move is a rebound, not a reversal. But I can’t say that for sure.

Right now, the Fear & Greed Index is 56—market sentiment is fairly steady but not crazy. In this kind of environment, there’s actually room for imagination. If trading volume can keep expanding, there may still be more to come.

What do you think? How much of this FIL rally is actually believable—are people genuinely bullish on this sector, or are they just thinking it dropped too much and it’s worth a punt? I didn’t get in myself. I can talk a good game, but when it comes down to it, I’ll probably still feel itchy to trade.
