🔷 Crypto-Spring: two confirmations out of six
Facts (per the Morgan Stanley checklist):
• 1. Cycle: spring arrives 17 months before the halving; the nearest halving — February 2028 ✅
• 2. Before spring, exchanges die: BitMEX will close on September 23. ✅
• 3. Drawdown: past winters were −77–84% from the peak; now it’s −53%. ✅❌
• 4. Mining difficulty: it falls at the end of winter and rises in spring. It fell — didn’t rise. ❌
• 5. Thermocap: are coins trading above their mining cost? ❌
• 6. Price: spring is confirmed by +50% from the bottom. The bottom was $57.7k → spring = $86.5k. ❌
🧠 My take: two signals are there, one is halfway, three are pending. The main thing is the last point: the bank considers spring confirmed only above $86.5k, which is above the 76–82k ceiling where price stayed for the whole month. That means, by their own rules, spring is ahead, not here.
⚠️ Four cycles — not enough: the bank itself calls the checklist “not a forecast.”
