Dr Reddy’s shares rose 1.8% to ₹1,196.00 on Friday, after the company announced a distribution agreement with Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda Pharmaceutical.
Under this agreement, Dr Reddy’s will promote and distribute Takeda’s dengue fever vaccine Qdenga in India. The vaccine is the first of its kind to receive regulatory approval in the country, and has recently been approved for use in both children and adults.
The company expects the Qdenga vaccine to be available in India in the first half of 2027.
