MetaMask has just introduced Added Protection, a new security feature that helps verify whether the actual result of an Ethereum/EVM transaction matches the transaction details shown previously.
If the real outcome differs from the preview, the transaction will automatically fail. Users only lose the gas fee for the test transaction, rather than risking performing an unintended transaction.
The feature is enabled by default on MetaMask Extension 13.45, supporting 13 EVM networks that have smart account accounts according to EIP-7702.
