When policy and regulatory news comes in, the market often trades the imagination first, then goes back to look for evidence. The headline itself isn’t that important. What really matters is whether it changes the cost of capital, compliance expectations, and trading access.
I’d rather wait for a second confirmation: if the related assets pull back and someone picks them up, and if the discussion doesn’t die down within an hour—and if the futures positioning isn’t distorted.
I’ll put it on my watchlist, but I won’t change my positions just because of a hot post. The market rewards the calmest people the most—and punishes the impulsive ones the most.
