#xrp涨3%瑞波接入stripe与tempo机器支付协议
$XRP Good news for Ripple, but the real focus is the AI Agent
This news is the easiest to be misread. Ripple has connected XRP and $RLUSD to the Machine Payments Protocol being co-developed by Stripe and Tempo—but it’s not that Stripe is about to全面 adopt XRP. In essence, XRPL is becoming one of the optional settlement networks within MPP. In the future, AI Agents could use XRP/RLUSD to purchase data, compute, and API services.
In the future, an AI Agent won’t be just “answering questions.” It will have to pay for things itself. MPP is a payment layer designed for machines: request a service → receive a quote → pay automatically → obtain resources. XRPL’s payment channels also let Agents continuously pay many small fees, then settle once in the end. This scenario actually has more imagination space than “XRP cross-border payments.”
This time XRP is up 3%. The market is pricing in expectations for new use cases. And Ripple is already supporting both x402 and MPP, clearly aiming to capture the entry point for AI payments—not betting on just one protocol.
But don’t rush to treat this as fundamental value being realized. The software is still in Beta, and Ripple hasn’t disclosed real customers or payment volumes. The key point is: single payments can use RLUSD, but this kind of continuous Session payment still requires XRP. The stablecoin version will need further upgrades to come.
The story really is upgraded, but revenue hasn’t upgraded yet. If later we truly see AI Agents massively using MPP and generating sustained XRP settlement volume, that’s when XRP will be repriced again. Right now, these 3% are still mostly the market buying tickets in advance for the “machine economy.”
