Bitcoin's ETF complex just told two different stories in the space of two weeks. August closed as the best month of 2026 for spot BTC funds — $3.52B in net inflows, the strongest since October last year, pushing total ETF assets to the edge of $100B. Then September opened with a $236M single-day outflow, and 85% of that reversal came from one fund: BlackRock's IBIT.

That's the tension sitting under this chart. Price rallied hard into 82,300, tagged it, and has been grinding lower since — now sitting at 76,564, still up 0.29% on the day but roughly 7% off that recent high. The pullback isn't panic, it's controlled: lower highs since the spike, and the down candles aren't expanding on volume.

What I'm watching isn't the daily print, it's whether that IBIT outflow was a one-off rebalance or the start of a real rotation. If flows stabilize and 76.5K holds as a shelf, this reads as digestion before another leg. If IBIT keeps bleeding into a broader outflow week, 69.8K becomes the more honest target — the last real demand zone before the August melt-up.
