In a choppy market, you really can’t hold on. I went long for a whole day, but didn’t make much profit. The lows keep getting higher—then after a few points up, it retraces a bit again. You still need to stick to one direction; otherwise the principal gets ground down badly. If you open dozens of trades in a day and get commissions, that’s enough to live on.
