#paradigm披露持有zec
Paradigm once said, “We hold ZEC,” and ZEC rose 20% in a day.
▪️ In a month: about +160%; over the same period, BTC only rose 18.2%
▪️ The disclosure is in the parentheses of Paradigm’s earlier post on X: invested in the development organization ZODL, and also holds ZEC; the scale wasn’t mentioned
▪️ The real producer of ZEC is Fortitude, which is wholly owned by DCG: mined 72,696 coins in the first half of the year, about 28% of total network output
▪️ It announced in June that it would merge with HSCS, a Nasdaq-listed medical device company; the deal closes in Q4, it will obtain 95% ownership, implying a valuation of at least $400 million
The disagreement isn’t about whether institutions think well of Zcash. The real issue is that “support” here still lacks a format: a tweet can have zero scale, zero time point, and zero ongoing obligations; the “formatted” parts are elsewhere—hashrate, shell companies, listing codes. A staked-version ZEC ETF has not been approved yet.
There’s another layer: he also stated support for preserving a development fund that is funded by inflation. But this fund’s 20% block rewards expire in November. Coin holders voluntarily add dilution to themselves while wanting governance with less unpredictability—what he wants is rule stability, not a coin.
Next to watch: ① TUDE closing ② approval for the staked-version ZEC ETF ③ renewal of the development fund in November.
