Column, the bank founded by Plaid co-founder William Hockey, has launched bank-native stablecoin infrastructure that integrates USDC and USDT directly into its core banking system. According to Foresight News, stablecoin addresses and bank accounts are kept on the same ledger, allowing 24/7 instant conversion between stablecoins and U.S. dollars.

The system also connects to payment networks including ACH, Fedwire, FedNow, RTP, and SWIFT.
