Meme Launchpad Dominates Arc’s First Day Trading Volume at 82%
On the first day of Arc’s mainnet launch, the vibe was a bit more surprising than expected.
According to on-chain data, Arc’s DEX trading volume on day one reached about $410.8 million, of which the Meme Launchpad contributed roughly $336.3 million—accounting for more than 82%. Just Arguspad alone generated about $202 million; in addition, lots of new tokens were also created on-chain.
That’s interesting.
Arc was originally positioned for financial markets, stablecoin payments, RWA, and institutional-grade settlement, with many traditional financial institutions even participating in ecosystem building.
But on the very first day of mainnet launch, it was Meme that truly pushed trading volume up.
This points to a very real issue: for a new chain to attract genuine traffic, there’s one story for institutional narratives, and a totally different factor for retail capital and trading sentiment.
The Meme Launchpad can rapidly generate a large number of tokens and trades, carrying built-in liquidity and attention. That makes it easy for a newly launched chain to follow a “trade the Meme first, then build the fundamentals” path in the early stage.
However, the 82% share also implies a risk: if Meme hype cools down, can Arc’s real underlying demand for trading hold up?
Next, what’s truly worth watching isn’t how big day-one trading volume is, but whether—weeks later—non-Meme businesses such as stablecoins, RWA, lending, and payments can keep growing.
If it can pick up and sustain, this wave of traffic could become a spark for the Arc ecosystem; if it can’t, that 82% on day one may end up being a footnote to a short-lived frenzy.
