🚨 #010 — ZEC jumps +20%: buy now or lock in profits?

$ZEC acaba had a starring role in one of the strongest moves in the market.

It went from approximately US$1,110 to the US$1,370 zone, while $BTC and the main cryptocurrencies saw much smaller moves.

Why?

Several catalysts lined up:

• The Zcash community widely backed changes for NU7 (the next major network update).

• 99.9% of ZEC participants supported reducing the time between blocks from 75 to 25 seconds, enabling faster confirmations.

• 98.9% supported keeping the halving system (periodic reduction of the issuance of new coins).

• Matt Huang, cofounder of Paradigm, also revealed that the firm holds ZEC and discussed Zcash as a privacy-focused complement to Bitcoin.

📌 Would I buy ZEC after this run?

I wouldn’t chase the price.

A coin can keep rising after +20%, but that doesn’t mean the risk-to-reward ratio remains equally attractive.

My map now:

🔹 US$1,385–1,390: recent high and the first key area to break.

🔹 If it breaks that zone and manages to hold above it, the trend would still be showing strength.

🔹 If it quickly loses US$1,300, I’d pay attention to a possible loss of momentum.

🔹 For those already in the position, I’d start evaluating partial profit-taking instead of aggressively increasing exposure.

I’m not saying ZEC is done rising.

I’m saying something different:

buying a good coin at a good time and chasing it after a vertical surge are two completely different decisions.

Sometimes the best trade is to buy.

Sometimes it’s to wait.

And when you’re already in, you also need to know when to start protecting what you’ve earned.

🟠 PROFIT-TAKING / OBSERVATION

Conviction: 90/100
