# Don’t just watch the points: today’s real takeaways from these 3 early projects
Today, watch Asentum, NOTE Systems, and 4D Labs: one is launching an incentives testnet, one writes “continuous time” into the points rules, and one has a clearly defined Alpha badge deadline.
What’s worth watching now isn’t because social platforms suddenly got lively, but because all three have irreversible time variables: the launch-day first day, the continuous streak, and the September 29 cutoff.
The biggest risk is different too: Asentum takes on the real token custody risk to support the multiplier; NOTE comes from choosing the wrong barrier that leads to an interruption of the continuous record; and 4D Labs is because its data privacy and reward rules are still not complete.
## Asentum
**One-sentence highlight:** The incentive testnet starts at 16:00 UTC on September 17, and everyone’s XP starts from zero today. It’s more like an open-window to observe how the rules land than a race to see who makes more trades.
**Why now:** Tasks, on-chain interactions, bug feedback, and validator paths are all open at the same time. Public materials also mention validator and staking multipliers, but their costs are completely different: testing and feedback can be done at low cost, while buying and locking real tokens means taking on price, contract, and liquidity risks.
**Metrics worth tracking:**
- Whether XP is credited in real time, and whether each individual task has a daily cap;
- The timezone used for streak settlement, and whether repeated interactions are downweighted;
- The block production stability of external validators, whether they require being online, and how frequently rules are adjusted.
**Pitfalls I will avoid:** I won’t buy and lock funds just for high multipliers I don’t understand, and I won’t do bulk homogeneous interactions before carefully checking the anti-sybil rules. When the testnet entry is just opened, fake dashboards and fake faucets usually appear sooner than real opportunities.
## NOTE Systems
**One-sentence highlight:** What’s scarcest here isn’t the number of trades, but the duration of continuous existence; testnet points are only 0.25x, but the streak has already started counting.
**Why now:** Season 0 rules are already in place. Every time you observe, Note is still higher than the barrier; only a continuous record extends it. Hitting the barrier or exiting early will break the streak. The rules provide a 48-hour remediation window: you can preserve half of your continuous record by re-establishing a Note with a size no less than the original. Once you reach 12 continuous periods, it’s also linked to a permanent Diamond Note NFT—so “checking a few days later” might not mean missing out on points, but missing out on an entire time series.
**Metrics worth tracking:**
- The active streak length, not a single-day points ranking;
- The barrier trigger rate and whether the 48-hour remediation is executed according to the rules;
- The range and conditions for migrating testnet records into later stages.
**Pitfalls I will avoid:** I won’t choose a higher-multiplier barrier that I don’t understand. Once it’s breached, the nominal multiplier doesn’t matter. If we ever enter the mainnet in the future, you also can’t misread the test-asset experience as a real structured product with no本金 risk.
## 4D Labs
**One-sentence highlight:** Alpha OAT appears with a deadline and limited-identity signal on September 29, but what truly needs to be judged is whether the data of your contribution has quality—not how many social steps you completed.
**Why now:** The project officially confirmed recently that there is an Alpha identity claim entry; they describe the event as the first 20,000 people and provide a deadline of September 29. This is a verifiable node. However, how 3D scanning is scored, how duplicates are deduplicated, and how future rewards are settled—at the moment, the publicly available details are not as clear as the badge cutoff date.
**Metrics worth tracking:**
- The accurate timezone of the remaining OAT slots and the cutoff time;
- Scan quality, originality, and deduplication standards;
- Whether the data authorization terms allow long-term training, sublicensing, or commercial use.
**Pitfalls I will avoid:** Don’t upload materials that include faces, house numbers, license plates, or confidential information from workplaces. Don’t equate “getting a badge” with “being eligible for tokens.” Any impersonation task page that asks for abnormal wallet permissions should be dismissed immediately.
## Collectible judgment framework
First, break the opportunity into four parts: **whether the node can be verified, whether time is irreversible, whether the action fits the product, and whether the worst-case cost is acceptable**. The server opening and deadline are real nodes; community slogans are not. Continuous streaks and limited-eligibility have time value, while repeatedly farming volume may not. Testing the product and submitting valid feedback is closer to real contribution than mechanically checking in. Once an action requires locking funds, granting access to sensitive data, or signing unknown permissions, reclassify it from a “low-cost experience” to a high-risk decision. Of the three items today, first verify the rules and identity before deciding whether to keep investing—it's more important than chasing multipliers on the page.
