Bank of America economist Sonali Punhani said the Bank of England can signal it remains serious about fighting inflation by leaving open the option of a later interest-rate increase even if it keeps rates unchanged today, according to Bloomberg.

Punhani told Bloomberg Television that otherwise questions would arise about the Bank of England's credibility.
