⚠ Trader lost $600,000 in crypto due to a fake captcha
One of the top traders on the Axiom platform fell victim to a phishing attack and lost money when attempting to transfer assets to the Arc network.
• On the malicious site, they showed him a fake Cloudflare verification and asked him to run a script with administrator privileges in Windows
• The phishing link was hidden in the token metadata, which is automatically pulled into aggregators like DexScreener
• After the script was launched, the attacker gained access to the crypto assets and started withdrawing funds: first about $115,000 in SOL, then USDC and USDT
A real Cloudflare check never asks you to open the "Run" window or to paste and run a command. If you see such a requirement on any site, close the page immediately.
