The most noteworthy thing today is that $USDC on Arc isn’t “just another recharge network.” Instead, it’s a one-way launch where the exchange’s channels are opened first, and withdrawals will remain closed until deposits are sufficient.
According to a Binance announcement (9/16 20:00 Beijing Time), USDC has completed integration with the Arc network and deposits are now open. Withdrawals will open once deposits are sufficient, and there will be no further separate announcement. As shown in Circle’s stablecoin interface update on 9/17 10:19, on Arc there are approximately 648 million USDC, with total USDC supply of about 73.737 billion. EURC on Arc is approximately 6.13 million.
The significance is that if Arc is to move from being an issuance chain to an exchange settlement channel, deposits, withdrawals, price spreads across exchanges, and merchant/payment traffic must all be validated together. For $USDC , the bullish case is that Binance opens withdrawals, USDC circulation on the Arc chain increases, and the USDC–USDT peg remains stable. Neutral is that it only adds another low-friction inbound route. Bearish is that deposits run hot but withdrawals are slow, with insufficient real demand.
The biggest risk is that Arc is still in an early stage; network/contract factors, regulatory coverage, concentrated liquidity, and information asymmetry may all amplify frictions. Which do you value more: the new-chain supply of stablecoins, or the actual usage once the exchange’s withdrawals are truly opened?
