Circle’s Arc mainnet officially launches. Institutions such as BlackRock and Visa appear on the validator list, and the genesis mint of 10 billion ARC has been completed.

But the key points must be clearly distinguished: this mint is more like a technical milestone for network initialization—it does not mean a public issuance, nor does it mean an immediate airdrop. ARC is positioned as a coordinated asset for network security, utility, and governance, while on-chain gas fees are still paid using USDC.

Arc currently uses PoA consensus, and Circle is still exploring a shift to PoS in 2027. The combination of institutional validators + USDC settlement suggests it aims to follow a regulated, institution-grade on-chain finance route rather than a short-term hype narrative.

For ordinary users, what you should track now is the subsequent staking, governance rules, and official distribution instructions. Don’t directly interpret the “genesis mint” as a free token giveaway.
