$BTC $OIL $SPX US passes another round of Russia sanctions bill; what the market truly wants to see is not just Russia

On Wednesday, the US House of Representatives passed a sweeping Russia sanctions bill by 262 to 159. The bill had already cleared the Senate 86 to 11 and is now officially sent to President Trump, awaiting his signature. If it ultimately becomes law, pressure on Russia’s energy and financial systems in the US would be further intensified.

The bill covers Russia’s energy industry, the defense system, banks, and so-called “shadow fleets.” It also allows the US president to impose tariffs of up to 100% on countries that continue to buy large quantities of Russian oil and natural gas.

The impact could ripple from Russia to other countries—especially major buyers of Russian energy such as China, India, and Turkey—which may all face higher trade costs and policy pressure in the future.

If Russia’s energy supply and exports face greater restrictions, or if key buyers begin to encounter higher trade costs, crude oil prices and inflation expectations could be affected again.

And once inflation heats up again, the Federal Reserve’s room to cut rates may also be impacted. That’s the second-layer effect that is more worth paying attention to for US stocks, BTC, and other risk assets.

Especially since the market is already watching high oil prices and US Treasury yields. If energy and trade policy continue to push inflation expectations higher, valuation pressure on risk assets could increase further.

So what matters most about this bill is not merely that the US is adding another round of sanctions against Russia. It’s that the US is using financial sanctions, energy policy, and tariff tools together.

In the future, global capital flows, energy prices, inflation, and even #BTC risk appetite could all be influenced by this policy chain.

What’s truly worth watching now is whether Trump will ultimately sign it—and whether other countries will adjust their purchases of Russian energy and their trade routes as a result 👀
