When I saw in the CPI that health insurance costs have fallen by 35% over four years, my first reaction was: who is this data for? My own premiums keep increasing year after year, and so do everyone around me. If we use numbers like this to set interest rates, how could the decisions not be off the mark?
Warsh says inflation is too high and that we need to raise rates. But if oil prices are rising, isn’t that a supply-side issue? Can rate hikes really bring more oil wells online?
