The rate hike has already been implemented, but the dot plot still leaves the possibility of another rate hike within the year. Once inflation data rebounds later on, the pressure will return. The bad news was largely priced in early + the speech didn’t come out more hawkish than expected + underlying spot buying provided support, so there was no new round of major selloff after the rate hike. However, the overall macro pressure has not been completely removed, so you still shouldn’t blindly chase higher prices.
