Traders said hedge funds continued closing dollar-yen short positions on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve announced its interest-rate decision. According to Sina Finance, traders said funds had already started closing positions earlier this week after the September 11 U.S. inflation data and the subsequent rebound in dollar-yen above 155. Dollar-yen fell 0.1% to 156.11. Some of the information came from foreign-exchange traders familiar with the relevant transactions, who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized for public interviews.
